Track work hours and calculate pay with multiple clock-in/clock-out entries.
Time Entries
What is this tool?
Our Time Card Calculator helps you track work hours and calculate total pay. Add multiple clock-in and clock-out entries for different days or shifts, set your hourly rate, and instantly see total hours worked and gross pay. Perfect for freelancers, hourly workers, and small business owners.
How it works
For each time entry, the calculator computes the difference between the start and end time. If the end time is earlier than the start time, it assumes the shift crosses midnight and adds 24 hours. All durations are summed to give total hours worked, then multiplied by the hourly rate to calculate total gross pay.
How to use
- Enter clock-in and clock-out times for each work day using the time pickers.
- Click + Add Row to add additional days or shifts.
- Enter your hourly rate in dollars.
- Click Calculate to see total hours, total pay, and a per-day breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I track overtime?
This calculator shows gross hours and pay. For overtime, calculate the first 40 hours at regular rate and remaining hours at 1.5x rate separately.
Does it handle lunch breaks?
No. Enter separate time entries for before and after lunch, or manually subtract break time from the total.
Is the time card saved?
The calculator works entirely in your browser. Data is not stored or uploaded. Export or note down your results for your records.
Tips & Advice
Log your time daily rather than relying on memory at the end of the week. Always round to the nearest 15-minute increment if your employer uses quarter-hour billing. Keep a copy of your time card for your records in case of payroll disputes.
